Yesterday the swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet had theme articles about suspense and horror movies, and one of them was about Alina Warne and her screenplay for Camp Slaughter.
There will also be an article about Operafilm in latest issue of Filmkonst. And Slitz did a nice interview with Martin Munthe.
However the premiere date isn’t set in stone, yet. But the hopes are up for an opening at Draken (now converted to digital projection) in Stockholm during the Lucia-weekend in December. Yes, that’s December this year.
So here’s your update Henrik!

Here’s the last one in the series of old digitized video. It’s a one minute short directed by Lars Forssberg, starring Lars Forssberg and Henrik Carlson called Life & Death. As usual in RealVideo since that was the rage in 1998.
Ok, I have dug up more old digitized video. This time also from Gamleby School of Broadcasting, a music video by the Gamleby gangsta rappers. However, I had very little to do with the creations of it, except flashing some light … you know once a gaffer always a gaffer. All credits is due to Pelle Eriksson, Klas Eriksson, and Daniel Nyquist.
Here’s the video: Gamleby Gangstas in RealVideo since that was all the rage in 1998. Beware that it’s in swedish and intended to be ironic. Maybe hard to understand if you never experienced Gamleby.
I just dug up some old digitized video I found on my old harddrive and decided to repost it on the net. First out is a 30 second movie trailer that I edited a long and boring week-end when no one else was around to play with at Gamleby School of Broadcasting. Lars Forssberg and Henrik Carlsson had the previous week shot a pretty bad short movie and started to batch some material into the Avid before they left for the weekend. Me alone and nothing to do I started to edit the material, trying to stich together something resembling of a trailer, purely for fun.
And here’s the result: Evil Intentions - EI209, or with subtitles in RealVideo since that was all the rage in 1998/99.
Update: You will see Henrik Carlsson (a.k.a swedens Nicolas Cage) in the leading role and Klas Eriksson as the news reader.
Another plug about Camp Slaughter and Magic Bullet just came in.
I have evaluated the Movie Magic Scriptwriter briefly the last couple of days. It has the same feature set as Final Draft. But there are some nuisances that make me feel awkward using Scriptwriter compared to Final Draft: When you create a new script the first line is not automatically a slug line element. I couldn’t get it to autocomplete the INT/EXT and you must use double dash on slug lines to autocomplete time. And other such small things, however these where the first things that I notices.

My recent activities of tracking down various word processing documents that I tought was lost and convert them into some kind of open and readable document format — in particular screenplays — have spurred my interest into open source alternatives for scriptwriting.
