I’ve recently become involved in a project where the client application will be developed using the Mozilla Gecko engine and framework. I’m not directly working on the client, but as lead developer I’m at least expected to be familiar with the underlying technology.
I do have played around with XUL and JavaScript before, a long time ago, but at that time the only way to deploy applications was to first install the Mozilla suite (Firefox was almost non-existing back then, or at least unheard of) and then your application on top of it. That meant tons of application specific stuff to the Mozilla suite that your application never had any need for.
Enter the XULRunner — a runtime environment for XUL based application.

It was a sad day for me when the news about Juanita Phillips, a.k.a. Candy Barr, death reached me. To me she was a legend that lived an extraordinary life reflecting the state of the Lone Stars mind, something that only an author like James Ellroy would be able to put into words.
I just discovered that I’ve been burglarized during the holidays. When I went down into the basement today to put back suitcase I was welcomed by an open door to my storage and the padlock missing. Guess someone was desperate for a Christmas present.
I’m a little stressed out lately despite the fact that I’m on a holiday break. Life is like a ketchup bottle, first comes nothing, then come everything at once.

Yes, it’s little late. A year or so. But I’ve begun to upload some pictures Henrik took during our trip to Italy, Bergamo, Milano, Monza and the 75th annual Italian Grand Prix.
I’ve already used up my free mothly bandwith at Flickr (will probably get a pro account soon), but at least I managed to upload the Bergamo part of our trip. Stay tuned for more (not that you would be interested…)
