Usually I don’t like the notion of the blogosphere. I think blogs is just a nice way to keep your personal homepage updated that can also be used in other clever ways. One such thing that stand out is the publishing of Samuel Pepy’s Diary as a blog. Julius “Groucho” Marx used to complain that if people could agree on how to pronounce Pepy’s name the diary would be even more popular.
Another blog that I frequently read is Carly’s Pornblography. She’s an adult industry publicist and radio show hostess with a sharp pencil and really funny, and not the least insightful observations. Originally she wanted explore women’s relation to adult entertainment, killing some of the myths about the industry and their consumers, but her blog has appealed to a much wider audience than intended.
