I have just come out of one of the worst depression periods in a long time. Now I’m more upbeat.
Why is this guy depressed, you might ask yourself? Well, because. Because is not an answer, you say! In this case it is. That how it is on this side of the manic-depression fence.
I’m in the midst of an upgrade. My computer is a patchwork both by hardware and software. And now I discovered that I have partition table inconsistencies but my computer still keep on booting as normal, evidently. I feel like I would need a reboot….
I’m really happy about the performance of SpamAssassin. Not a single false positive! Only one or two false negatives now and then making spam messages appear in my inbox. But that I can live with, moving one or two messages on a bi-weekly basis from the inbox to the my spambox isn’t a that big endeavour. The ones that get through are often very cleverly constructing making no obvious hints that they are spam thus getting a low average score.
If you can’t get enough of spam, a joyfull reading is the Spamhaus Projects legal answer to the libelious lawsuit filed by Spamlawyer Mark E. Felstein.
There have been some vandalism over at SourceForge. Someone playing “Reclame The Server” has done a rm -rf * on the root directory of the web server. Normally that shouldn’t be too effective. Except that this hit all sites using a particular gallery module that when sat up on SourceForge need the gallery directory to be writable to all so the web-upload will work. The K-3D site was one of them. So now I have been busy painstakenly trying to reconstruct the gallery, making thumbnails and renaming images…
